Wonky Snowballs Quilt
Two 3-hour sessions ($70)

Class Description
This whimsical Wonky Snowballs quilt is much easier to make than it appears. Using a standard snowballing technique, you sew 30-60 degree triangles onto squares to create a wonky block with no bias edges. Yes, the blocks are all on the straight-of-grain, making them easier to piece into a quilt top. This is a fun project for the beginner and seasoned quilter alike. In this class, you will: • Use a rotary cutter and ruler to cut fabric accurately from yardage and fat quarters • Use the snowballing technique to enlarge blocks • Sew a bias triangle edge • Piece together a quilt top • Create a piano keys (or solid) border Class Scheduling and Format: Classes are offered in an open-workshop setting, where students may be working on different projects. Each workshop will have no more than 5 students, and start/end times are staggered to ensure that each student gets individualized attention while working on their project. Be sure to schedule both sessions. Supply List: With 2 solid borders: • 2 yards of background fabric • 8 assorted fat quarters • 1st border: 3/4 yard • 2nd border: 1 ½ yard With 1 solid border and 1 piano keys border: • 2 yards of background fabric • 14 assorted fat quarters • 1st border: 3/4 yard Please provide your own rotary cutters, cutting mats, pins, thread, bobbins, and extra needles.
