Panel Quilts

Two 3-hour sessions ($70)

Fabric Place Basement (Richmond Hwy)

Class Description

Join us for a fun-filled weekend of quilting with our Panel Quilt Class! You can use panels to create a quick quilt as a holiday gift or decoration. In a traditional quilt, the center of the quilt is made up of pieced blocks, then surrounded by one or more borders. With a panel quilt, the panel makes up the center of the quilt and you jazz it up with pieced borders. This method really speeds up the process of making a quilt. Choose your layout from the photos in this listing, and I can help you access the free pattern for use in class. Class Scheduling and Format: Classes are offered in an open-workshop setting, where students may be working on different projects. Each workshop will have no more than 5 students, and start/end times are staggered to ensure that each student gets individualized attention while working on their project. Be sure to schedule both sessions. Supply list: Varies per layout. Please provide your own rotary cutters, cutting mats, pins, thread, bobbins, and extra needles. Two irons and ironing boards will be available for shared-use in the classroom. If you would prefer to bring your own iron, I do have several small table-top ironing boards available for use. Don't forget your sewing machine! If you don't have a sewing machine, please let me know ahead of time. I do have a limited number available as needed.
