Hexagon Kaleidoscope Quilt

Class Description

You will use four yards of fabric to make this quilt. You will use six repeats in the fabric to make your kaleidoscope hexagons. This is a four-session class: Session 1: Align your panels and cut into rectangles for cutting on die cutter Session 2: Begin to piece together your triangles into half-hexagons Homework: Between Session 1b and 2a, complete making your half-hexies Session 3: Design your quilt top and begin sewing together your hexagons in columns Session 4: Continue to sew your columns and learn to piece the columns together so you can complete your project at home. Class Scheduling and Format: Classes are offered in an open-workshop setting, where students may be working on different projects. Each workshop will have no more than 5 students, and start/end times are staggered to ensure that each student gets individualized attention while working on their project. Be sure to schedule all four sessions. Please provide your own rotary cutters, cutting mats, pins, thread, bobbins, and extra needles. Two irons and ironing boards will be available for shared-use in the classroom. If you would prefer to bring your own iron, I do have several small table-top ironing boards available for use. Don't forget your sewing machine! If you don't have a sewing machine, please let me know ahead of time. I do have a limited number available as needed.
