Curvy Log Cabin Quilt
Two 3-hour sessions ($70)




Class Description
Explore a modern twist on the traditional log cabin block with the stunning Curvy Log Cabin Quilt. Whether you're an experienced quilter or just starting out, the possibilities are endless. With this 2-session project, you will learn to piece the log cabin block and play with layouts until you decide the perfect one for your quilt. Class Scheduling and Format: Classes are offered in an open-workshop setting, where students may be working on different projects. Each workshop will have no more than 5 students, and start/end times are staggered to ensure that each student gets individualized attention while working on their project. Be sure to schedule both sessions. Supply list: • One jelly roll of 42 pieces, 20 light and 20 dark strips - OR - a total of 3 yards of assorted fabrics (half dark and half light), cut into 2 1/2 in strips. • 1/2 yard of fabric for inner border • 1 yard of fabric for outer border • 3/4 yard of fabric for binding • 3 1/2 yards of fabric for border • Cotton thread • Spare needles and bobbins Recommended tools: • 1/4" foot, specific to your machine • 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" square ruler • Pencil Please provide your own rotary cutters, cutting mats, pins, thread, bobbins, and extra needles. Two irons and ironing boards will be available for shared-use in the classroom. If you would prefer to bring your own iron, I do have several small table-top ironing boards available for use. Don't forget your sewing machine! If you don't have a sewing machine, please let me know ahead of time. I do have a limited number available as needed.
