Wonky Snowballs

Project Available by Request

Class Description

This whimsical Wonky Snowballs quilt is much easier to make than it appears. Using a standard snowballing technique, you sew 30-60 degree triangles onto 5” squares to create a wonky block with no bias edges. Yes, the blocks are all on the straight-of-grain, making them easier to piece into a quilt top. This is a 4-hour class, followed by a complimentary open workshop the next day so that you can continue working on your project. If you can't make the open workshop the next day, let me know, and you can come to any open workshop. Open workshops are offered the first and third Fridays and the first and third Sundays of every month. This is a fun project for the beginner and seasoned quilter alike. In this class, you will: • Use a rotary cutter and ruler to cut fabric accurately from yardage and fat quarters • Use the snowballing technique to enlarge blocks • Sew a bias triangle edge • Piece together a quilt top • Create a piano keys (or solid) border *If you don't have a sewing machine, please let us know.
