Class Description

Grab your sewing machine and join us for this 4-hour class where we will create a wonderful window pane quilt using a panel. Fabric Place Basement as a whole slew of fantastic panels that would look great using a window-pane approach. You will learn: • How to cut a panel and window panes for a window-pane quilt • How to sew the window panes, including mitered corners Supplies: • Quilt panel of your choice (can be 24", 27", or 36") • 3 fat quarters: (1 dark color for window panes; 1 dark/medium color for vertical depth of window pane; 1 medium/light color for horizontal depth of window pane) • ½ yard of border fabric • 10 ½" square ruler (or larger) I will provide cutting mats and a 6 x 12 inch ruler for each student's work area. We ask that you please provide your own rotary cutters, pins, thread, bobbins, and extra needles. Two irons and ironing boards will be available for shared-use in the classroom. If you would prefer to bring your own iron, I do have several small table-top ironing boards available for use. Don't forget your sewing machine! If you don't have a sewing machine, please let me know ahead of time. I do have a limited number available, as needed.
