Panel Quilt Class

Project Available by Request

Class Description

Join us for a fun-filled weekend of quilting with our Panel Quilt Class! You can use panels to create a quick quilt as a holiday gift or decoration. In a traditional quilt, the center of the quilt is made up of pieced blocks, then surrounded by one or more borders. With a panel quilt, the panel makes up the center of the quilt and you jazz it up with pieced borders. This method really speeds up the process of making a quilt. Choose your layout from the photos in this listing, and I can help you access the free pattern for use in class. This is a 4-hour class, followed by a complimentary open workshop the next day so that you can continue working on your project. If you can't make the open workshop the next day, let me know, and you can come to any open workshop. Open workshops are offered the first and third Fridays and the first and third Sundays of every month. Supply list: Varies per layout. I will provide cutting mats and a 6 x 12 inch ruler for each student's work area. We ask that you please provide your own rotary cutters, pins, thread, bobbins, and extra needles. Two irons and ironing boards will be available for shared-use in the classroom. If you would prefer to bring your own iron, I do have several small table-top ironing boards available for use. Don't forget your sewing machine! If you don't have a sewing machine, please let me know ahead of time. I do have a limited number available, as needed.
