Class Description

This free-motion series is designed for people who have some experience with free motion and want to learn to quilt with rulers. This series will begin with straight line rulers and designs, and then we will move on to curved rulers and techniques using multiple rulers as well as free motion fillers. You are not required to take the Beginner Free Motion series prior to this series as long as you have some experience with free motion. Note: Quilting with rulers does require a ruler foot. Please be sure to invest in a ruler foot for your machine. Make your own schedule! Start this 8-session series at any time and proceed at your own pace, with four sessions available monthly. Choose how many sessions to take each month, and even skip a month, if you wish. All sessions are 12:30-3:30 the first and third Fridays and Sundays of each month. Month 1: Use a ruler to create straight lines and soft curves Month 2: Apply your new skills in grid settings Month 3: Learn to quilt perfect curves, arcs, and circles Month 4: Create elaborate designs by rotating your rulers Custom quilt sandwiches will be provided for practice and learning new techniques. Feel free to bring in a project you are working on.
