Class Description

Get creative with your quilting projects with our Fat Quarter Log Cabin table topper. With endless options for traditional, modern, and classic settings, you can create a stunning design customized to your taste. Whether you're an experienced quilter or just starting out, the possibilities are endless. In the two-part (Quilt) class, you will learn to piece the log cabin block and play with layouts until you decide the perfect one for your quilt. Supply list**: • 3 assorted light-colored fat quarters and 4 assorted dark-colored fat quarters • 1/2 yard of fabric for border • 1/2 yard of fabric for binding • 4 1/2 yards of fabric for border • Cotton thread • Spare needles and bobbins Recommended tools: • 1/4" foot, specific to your machine • 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" square ruler • Pencil I will provide cutting mats and a 6 x 12 inch ruler for each student's work area. We ask that you please provide your own rotary cutters, pins, thread, bobbins, and extra needles. Two irons and ironing boards will be available for shared-use in the classroom. If you would prefer to bring your own iron, I do have several small table-top ironing boards available for use. Don't forget your sewing machine!
