Craft: Sewing Machine Mat & Carrying Bag

Class Description

In this craft workshop, you will make a sewing machine mat (perfect for bringing to classes) and a precious Japanese-style carrying bag for it. Supplies: (1) 26" x 28" piece of fusible fleece 1 1/4 yards of fabric for the front of the mat and the outside of the bag 1 1/4 yards of fabric for the back/pockets of the mat and the inside of the bag 1/4 yard fabric for binding Corresponding thread I will provide cutting mats and a 6 x 12 inch ruler for each student's work area. We ask that you please provide your own rotary cutters, pins, thread, bobbins, and extra needles. Two irons and ironing boards will be available for shared-use in the classroom. If you would prefer to bring your own iron, I do have several small table-top ironing boards available for use. Don't forget your sewing machine! If you don't have a sewing machine, please let me know ahead of time. I do have a limited number available as needed.
